The Great Outback Tour 2008 - Gunnedah NSW Day 1

The Great Outback Tour 2008 started with leaving Sydney on the 13th December 2008. We left Sydney via Windsor and through the Putty Road via a little old granny's Tea and Scone House that was settled way off the road but definitely worth a stop. Roger and I were tired from working and just wanted to get away from Sydney as quickly as we could so we did not stop to take any photographs until we hit Gunnedah.
Gunnedah was well known as the Koala Capital so Roger and I ventured out to find Koalas as we have not really seen them wild before - oh there was that one time coming home from our Tasmanian trip earlier in the year but the Koala went past us so quickly and disappeared into the bush so we had a hard time to photograph it.
We had no luck that evening but in the morning we went to the Gunnedah Visitors Centre and they directed us to where there have been sightings but they are hard to spot until we came across a man mowing his lawn and he told where he saw one that morning. Well Roger and I were happy as it was a little baby only just left his mother, he was really cute and the wind kept blowing his ears back and forth - anyway we got a few good shots.
