The Great Outback Tour 2008 - Walgett NSW Day2

Roger and I had a long day of travelling through interesting little towns such as Narrabri, Wee Waa and a great little unique town of Burren Junction all before we arrived at our destination Walgett. At Walgett we had made arrangements to meet with our drover that we were spending five days with.
We arrived about 5pm at Walgett Sale Yards, where we were met with the biggest smile from our Drover Wayne and had the pleasure of meeting and playing with Rusty. While Rusty entertained us with his antics, Wayne set about organising us where we were going to sleep and eat.
After we organised our sleeping swags, Roger and I decided that we would sleep inside the back of the truck after the stories Wayne was telling us about the locals at Walgett. The only trouble was that there was no cover on the truck and it was coming up to rain so after a simple dinner on the George Forman we set about watching Wayne organise a large tarp to keep us from getting wet, Wayne is a tough drover and said he normally sleeps under the truck with his legs out and does not mind getting a bit wet.
To end a long day, we went to bed early when it got dark and had a really good sleep - those swags are quiet comfy!
