Camp Blow Out
Well the Jindabyne trip was a great success. Thanks to all the coaches and parents that helped the girls achieve their fitness endurance levels by supplying them with encouragement when things got physically tough and filling their tummies with food to see that they had the correct energy to fulfil these extreme fitness levels.
With the trailers loaded with boats and luggage we headed off to Sydney not without our troubles. First my car was pulling two tinnies full of tressels but the trailers kept making my car wobble dangerously, so we pulled over and had to re-arrange boats with the help of Pete Hughes (who was driving the girls in the Transit Bus). Thank Matt for driving my car.
Later on just as we are coming through to Canberra the Transit Bus had a "Blow Out" - all the girls were uninjured thanks to Pete's professional driving skills. The girls thought it was very exciting. Ava took charged by reading the instruction manual while Pete and Matt tried to release the spare tyre. The girls all took turns loosen the nuts of the tyre - lead by one of the Rowing Captain's - Channel. Of course Pete thought it was a great opportunity to do some roadside fitness since Channel and Matt had it all under control but was over ruled by the rest of the crews.
