Day 9 - Deloraine TASMANIA

Roger and I made it into Deloraine about 7 p.m. and check into a motel (one of few as we stay in cabins normally), we were tired and hungry and the motel man suggested we get a meal from the local pub called The British Arms.
The British Arms was a quaint little pub with fishing competitions on the walls, football memorabilia, things for sale and a giant map of Tasmania. As Roger and I walked past a few locals and ordered our drinks we were shown to the back dining area and handed a menu with typical Aussie meals - Bangers and Mash (with gravy), Steak with salad or veges , Roast of the Day etc. all served on a plastic table cloth with bottles of wine all over it (which Roger thought was good marketing).
Our meals arrived and so did the locals for their dinner, next to us sat this old guy wearing T-shirt, Flannel shirt, jeans and we knew it must be cold cause he wore his tracksuit over his jeans - he sat down to eat his meal but first tucked his long white beard into his flannelette shirt before he got stuck into his banger and Mash, which Roger and I had exchanged looks and tried not to laugh.
After Roger and I finished our dinner we had another drink and settled into a game of pool of which we found enjoyable after all it was the first time in the whole trip we actually did something rather than eat download shots edit a few, shower and sleep. We also meet some other people travelling from Scotland who were playing darts next to us - very nice family.... the husband grew up at Deloraine and was excited to bring his two sons back to where he grew up.
In the morning we woke early and left for some breakfast from the local bakery and found a nice sunny park by the Meander River to eat our breakfast and of course we got inspired to walk around and photograph the area with the old buildings near the railway line. Roger and I found Deloraine a charming and attractive town full of wonderful things to photograph.
