Roger still in Hospital - 2nd August 2008
Yesterday I went and spent some time keeping Roger occupied so he would not get to bored. He was told from doctors to try and walk around to help the healing process, so we went for about 4-5 little walks around the hospital and Roger was improving a little each walk. He also started to each food a little bit as well, which is good - still though he was very weak.
He still had the IV catheter that was causing trouble in his hand so I asked the nurse to take it out (which Roger was hesitate but reluctantly agreed it had to be taken out sooner or later) and we did not realise how long into the hand they go, the one Roger had was about two inches - yuk yuk yuk. After they took it out both Roger and I felt a little queazy - brrrr makes me shiver.
Later they changed the bandage on his wound as well and we (Roger's Mum, Dad and I) got a good look at the incision - no stitches just little clear bandage things to hold the wound together.
Today 3rd of August Roger got dismissed from hospital and is now recovering under the care of his Mum and Dad, which I heard have spoilt him with roast chicken and veges dinner plus yummy desserts - almost worth getting sick for. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
