Saturday- Head of Clarence Regatta 2007

The girls left camp well rested and ready for a full day of competing. All crews did extremely well, the girls raced in Quad Sculls, Double Sculls, Single Sculls and even Quads with sweep oars. It was a very long hot day, so by the end of the Regatta half the girls left a bit early to prepare themselves for the Celebration BBQ and the rest stayed and waited to collect their handfuls of Medals. Congratulations to all the crews!
When we got back to camp we also had a quick birthday surprise for Liz before the girls went off to the BBQ to socialise and try and find partners for the mixed races the next day. Unfortunately all crews were so tired after competing during very hot conditions that everyone was feed and in bed by about 9 p.m. While the parents had a nice meal at The Grafton Bowling Club.
By this stage poor me was sick from Heat Stroke - thanks to Russell for his advice to make me better plus all the parents who looked after me.
