End of Day 8 - Near Miena TASMANIA

Our plan was to drive to Strahan when we left Richmond this morning and changed our plan because we stopped to many times for photographs. We decided to go straight through the middle and try to reach Deloraine before night fall, so we took the Highland Lake Highway past The Great Lake.
The scenery was fantastic except the road was dirt but with some rain and snow made it more dangerous. Roger however kept it together and my car on the road as it had turned to icy mud and very hard for Roger to drive and keep the car in the general direction it should be going.
After some rain and sliding over the road Roger and I stopped at a lookout that over looked Golden Valley and in the distance we could see the lights of Deloraine and knew that this horrible road was coming to and end. On the bright side Roger and I got some great photographs and a little bit of an adventure.
