All the stories you hear about driving in Rome are true!! it is CRAZY!!!!!!! Mopeds and Vespas do what ever they want, no one cares about the road rules if there are any and the cab drivers rule the road. But since I have had experience with cab driving we made it to our hotel and then to the rental cars office with no problems but it was very stressful. We visited the Spanish steps and the Fontana De Trevi which is absolutely amazing. It is such a grand spectacle and the buzz with all the people was just great. We threw some coins in to the water and made our wishes and then watched the crowd. There are guys who grab the 1 and 2 Euros out of the water with telescopic wands and the tourist get shitty with them because they think their wish will not come true. Because the kids were so good in the car we gave them a treat and went to Mc Donalds but it was not that good. Our hotel is really nice and is a great change from the ones we have recently stayed in and it has a lovely bar and Trudi and I had a few drinks before going to bed.
