Florence

Trudi had pre- booked tickets for the Uffuzi Gallery and lucky she did as the que was very long. The Uffuzi is one of the best-known art galleries in Italy and has an impressive selection of works from the great masters such as DaVinchi, Michael Angelo and Bortachelli. His painting of the Birth of Venus is so much better in real life. The detail and clarity just draws you towards the picture.
After the gallery we walked through the Piazza Della Signoria and saw the statue of David. This is a replica of the original, which is in the other gallery Academia.
We had lunch at a family run restaurant called Ciro and Sons and finally found the food that Italy is well known for. Lunch was amazing and Guiseppe was very friendly and helpful.
